Biography

Jingge Zhu a Senior Lecturer (approx Assistant Professor with tenure) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne. Prior to joining Melbourne, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2018. He obtained his PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, advised by Prof. Michael Gastpar in 2016. He received his M.S. and B.E. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also received a Dipl. -Ing. degree from Technische Universität Berlin.

Dr. Zhu has received the Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) from the Australian Research Council in 2021, the IEEE Heinrich Hertz Award for Best Communications Letters in 2013, the Early Post-Doctoral Mobility Fellowship from Swiss National Science Foundation in 2015, and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad in 2016.
